The change was driven by his need to spend more time in his accountancy practice following the death of his senior partner.  On the same day Sir Jeremy Hanley resigned from his position as a non-executive director of the Company due to his other business commitments.

We are pleased to announce Mountfield Group’s preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2009.

2009 proved difficult for the Group with both Mountfield Building Group and Connaught Access Flooring experiencing a dramatic decline in turnover as challenging market conditions persisted.

Whilst the Group’s performance was in line with those of its competitors, our response has been to evaluate how we can build, develop and return our Group to profitability in 2010. We have done this mainly by looking at new markets where the Group’s skills and experience can be applied and by seeking smaller scale contracts from our existing client base.
